Variable Speed for
Bi-Fold Doors

Variable frequency drive and programmable logic control provide a smooth, quiet operation. They also deliver faster cycle times, which minimizes heat loss when opening and closing large bi-fold doors, resulting in lower energy costs.

Insulation

Three options:

1. Batts:
   3 inch Fiberglass Batts Insulation R value 9.0
   4 inch Fiberglass Batts Insulation R value 12.0 (Steel buildings only)
2. Board:
   ½ board on the outside with 3 inch EPS Foam board R Value R17.0
   ½ board on the outside with 4 inch EPS Foam board R value R 21.0
3. Spray Foam:
   Spray ½ board on the outside with 2 ½ inches spray foam R 20.0
   Spray foam is to be installed by others.

Insulation R values are estimates, to be used as a guide only.

Sheeting and Trim

• 29-gauge or 26-gauge ribbed steel applied to the exterior of the doorframe
• Personalized to match your new building or replicate an existing structure

Liner Panel

29-gauge ribbed steel is applied to the interior of the doorframe for a consistent look.

Windows

4-foot x 2-foot fixed or sliding insulated windows allow light and ventilation to enter (custom sizes available).

Weather Stripping

A 3/8-inch x 1 ½-inch foam weather strip is applied with adhesive for added weather resistance.

Remote Control

A user can operate the door with a remote transmitter.
